A Psalm of Lament for My displaced Karen People

How Long, Oh God, Will you let my people suffer forever?
How Long, will you hide your face from my people?
How Long will my people suffer the disaster and the oppression of our enemy?
How Long will our enemy have victory over us?
Look on my people and answer, O Lord my God.
Give light to my people so we will feel that you are with us.
Our enemy will say. 'I have over come them, I can drive them out from the country.'
And our foes will rejoice when we fall.
But I trust in your unfailing love;
My heart rejoices in your salvation.
I will sing to the Lord,
For He has been good to my people.
